Hi, this is my little fan site where I record all the Sherlock Holmes adaptations I have read, watched, played, or otherwise 'consumed'.
In the navigation column on the left, you will find links to a collection of other fan sites, the list I am working off, and the three pages where I have written about the adapatations I have gotten to thus far.
The rule(s) / Scope note
The only real rule is this: the adaptation must include Sherlock Holmes or John Watson as a main character.
- Their gender / sex
- The time period
- Mild changes to their names
- Their species
- The genre
- The absence of one of the pair
The following do not matter:
Under these rules, adaptations such as Sherlock Hound, Sherlock Chapter One, Elementary, BBC Sherlock etc. count. However, Scooby Doo (where Sherlock appears as a cameo), and House M.D. (which is inspired by Sherlock Holmes but not meant to be them) does not.
